The client needed a tool to move change management and CMDB from Remedy. Lack of configuration database and CI mapping made it difficult to make timely decisions.
Vast network devices and applications made it impossible to keep track of data source and configuration items. Inefficient Change management processes caused users to circumvent the system.
NStarX designed an efficient CMDB and defined the relationships among the CI’s and mapped them. Managed CI data and maintained accurate reports on a daily basis. Automated the Change Management Process with workflows and event triggers.
The solution resulted in flexible administration and service delivery. With easily understandable environment of CIs and their relationships. It afforded easier generation and distribution of accurate and exact results through reports with daily updated CI data.
The Change Management Process became simpler to handle which gave a clear view of the relationship among CIs where IT gets to know the effect on particular change.
