Position Overview:
As a System Administrator specializing in Desktop and Laptop Support, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the smooth operation of an organization’s computing infrastructure. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure that all desktops and laptops are functioning optimally, addressing technical issues, and providing timely support to end-users. You will work closely with other IT professionals to maintain a reliable and efficient computing environment.
Responsibilities:

- Perform routine hardware and software maintenance on desktops and laptops to ensure their

- Create, modify, and disable user accounts, ensuring proper access control and security measures are in place.
- Manage user profiles, permissions, and access rights based on organizational policies.

- Implement and enforce security policies and protocols to protect desktop and laptop systems from threats.
- Perform regular security audits, patch management, and updates to keep systems secure.
- Backup and Data Recovery:
- Configure and manage backup solutions for end-user data and systems.
- Develop and implement data recovery procedures to minimize data loss in case of hardware failures or disasters.
- Inventory Management:
- Maintain an inventory of desktop and laptop hardware and software assets.
• Monitor and track equipment lifecycles, ensuring timely replacements or upgrades.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (preferred).
- Proven experience in desktop and laptop support, system administration, or a related role.
- Strong knowledge of Windows and Mac operating systems.
- Familiarity with hardware troubleshooting and repair.
- Proficiency in remote support tools and ticketing systems.
- Understanding of security best practices and antivirus solutions.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Industry certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified Desktop Support Technician) is a plus
