ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for an Application Integration Engineer to help take an existing LLM-based application into production on an enterprise cloud platform. You will be a senior Python engineer responsible for building and extending backend services, integrating APIs and data sources, implementing content generation and validation, and ensuring the application operates reliably in a demanding enterprise environment. The role requires strong backend engineering, service integration, testing, cloud deployment, and troubleshooting skills, along with exposure to LLM-based applications.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

• Build and extend Python services for content generation, validation, data access, and APIs.
• Develop automated checks to validate generated content and prevent unsupported claims from being published.
• Implement document and presentation generation with consistent and reproducible outputs.
• Integrate internal services and third-party APIs, handling timeouts, retries, partial failures, and changing contracts.
• Connect applications to internal data stores and public data APIs within enterprise network restrictions.
• Work with existing LLM-based generation, prompts, retrieval, and grounding workflows.
• Deploy containerized applications into cloud environments with configuration, secrets, SSO, and RBAC integration.
• Troubleshoot application, platform, and upstream service issues using logs, traces, and monitoring.
• Build automated test coverage and technical documentation to support production readiness.

REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

• 6+ years of professional software engineering experience, with strong hands-on Python development.
• Strong experience building backend services, REST APIs, and service integrations.
• Proven experience consuming and integrating APIs owned by other teams or third-party providers.
• Strong understanding of testing, verification, and defining measurable correctness.
• Experience with Docker, CI/CD, and production deployments.
• Familiarity with React / TypeScript for deploying, integrating, and debugging existing web applications.
• Exposure to LLM-based applications, including model APIs, RAG/retrieval, or prompt engineering.
• Strong debugging, problem-solving, and communication skills.

NICE TO HAVE

• Experience generating PowerPoint or Word documents programmatically using python-pptx, python-docx, or equivalent.
• Experience evaluating LLM output quality using automated evaluation frameworks.
• Knowledge of knowledge graphs or data adapters.
• Experience with cloud migration, replatforming, or enterprise application deployment.
• Familiarity with cloud services, enterprise SSO, RBAC, and secrets management.
